Corporate Pickleball Tournament Shirts: What to Order
Corporate pickleball tournament shirts should be performance polyester tees or polos, because players move and sweat, in one color per team or one shirt for the whole field. Decorated orders take 7 to 10 business days from proof approval, so approve the proof about three weeks before the tournament and the shirts finish with room to spare.
Players get a light colored performance tee or polo. Staff and volunteers get the same design in a different color. Sponsors go on the back. Winners and clients get an embroidered cap or polo. Collect sizes at registration and send the proof back about three weeks out.

Which shirt players actually wear on court
Order a performance polyester tee or a performance polo for anyone holding a paddle. Spring is peak outdoor season in Arizona, and a heavy cotton tee is soaked by the second game.
Tee or polo
A performance tee is the default for a company tournament or a corporate league. A polo makes sense when the event doubles as client entertainment and people head to lunch or a reception afterward in the same shirt. Our custom polos for company teams come in performance fabrics that hold up on court and still look right at the table.
Light colors outdoors
Outdoor courts reward white, light gray, sky and other pale shades. Dark shirts absorb heat, and players notice by midmorning. Save navy and black for spectators, the check in table and anyone playing indoors.
Cotton has a place
Cotton tees are fine for spectators and volunteers. For a closer look at fabric and fit from the player's side, read our guide to the best men's pickleball shirts and polos.
A tournament shirt gets judged in the third game, not at check in. If it is heavy and wet by then, nobody wears it again.
Team colors or one event shirt
Give each team its own color when there is a bracket. It makes the draw easy to follow from the sideline and every photo readable. One shirt for the whole field works better for a casual company event or a league night where nobody is tracking brackets.
Either way, put staff and volunteers in the same design on a clearly different color.
- Pick team colors far enough apart to tell at a distance.
- Keep the front design identical across teams so the event reads as one.
- Give staff a color no team is wearing.
- Two shades of blue for rival teams.
- A different design per team. It multiplies proofs and setups.
- Dark team colors on an outdoor court in spring.
Decoration method by piece
Match the method to the garment. One tournament order often uses two or three methods.
| Piece | Method | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Performance player tee | Sublimation | Dyed into light polyester, full color sponsor art, nothing heavy on the fabric |
| Mixed order (tees, hoodies, cotton) | DTF | Full color logos across different garments and colors |
| Client and winner polos | Embroidery | Reads as a gift, lasts for years |
| Caps and bags | Embroidery | Clean mark on a structured front |
Sublimation printing on performance polyester is the right call for player shirts with full color sponsor art. The ink becomes part of the fabric, so the shirt breathes the way it did before decoration. When the order mixes tees, hoodies and cotton for spectators, DTF transfers carry a full color logo across all of it. Screen printing, DTF and sublimation are priced per order on the quote, because the garment, the color count and the quantity all move the number.
Embroidery pricing, published
Polos and caps for clients and winners should be embroidered, and we handle logo embroidery on polos and caps in 7 to 10 business days from proof approval. Embroidery is the one method with a published per piece price, standard up to 6,000 stitches, decoration only.
| Quantity | Shirts | Hats and bags |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 8 | $10.75 | $13.25 |
| 9 to 23 | $8.50 | $10.75 |
| 24 to 47 | $7.25 | $8.50 |
| 48 to 71 | $6.00 | $7.50 |
| 72 and up | $5.25 | $6.25 |
Per piece embroidery decoration, standard up to 6,000 stitches. Garments are quoted separately.
Worked example: 48 embroidered polos sit in the 48 to 71 tier at $6.00 each, so the embroidery is $288.00. Add $35 one time setup for a new logo and the decoration comes to $323.00. Order 24 embroidered caps for winners and they land in the 24 to 47 hat tier at $8.50 each, or $204.00 in embroidery.
Sponsor logos on tournament shirts
Put sponsors in a block on the back of the shirt and keep the front for the event mark. A back block reads cleanly in photos and gives each sponsor a fair spot. Here is how we lay out a sponsor back on event tees, and the same logic holds on a pickleball shirt.
Keep it to what will read
Top tier sponsors get the larger spots. A logo too small to read from across a court does the sponsor no good, so trim the list or move smaller names to a banner.
Collect vector files early
Ask every sponsor for a vector file the day they sign on. We prep the files into the layout, but we cannot invent a sharp logo from a blurry screenshot.
Industry groups run these too
Company tournaments are not the only buyers. Professional associations host them as networking events. Arizona Commercial Real Estate Women (AZCREW) held its third annual Pickleball Tournament and Clinic on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Scottsdale, and every registration received tournament swag, according to AZCREW's annual tournament announcement.
Sizing a tournament order from the registration list
Add a shirt size field to the registration form and make it required. That one field turns the size run from a guess into a list.
Offer two cuts
Give a unisex cut and a women's cut on the form. A women's cut fits better on court, and players who get a shirt that fits actually wear it at the next league night.
Plan for walk ups
Order a few extras in the middle sizes for late registrations, walk ups and the size that somebody got wrong. Base the number on how your last event went rather than a rule of thumb. We go deeper on this in how we size a company polo order, over at PILLAR.
Timeline for a March 4, 2027 tournament
For a tournament on Thursday, March 4, 2027, approve the decorated proof by Monday, February 8, 2027. At 7 to 10 business days from proof approval, the order finishes about Wednesday, February 17 to Monday, February 22, 2027, with time left for delivery.
| Order type | Clock | Sign off by | Finishes about |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decorated (embroidery, sublimation, DTF, screen printing) | 7 to 10 business days from proof approval | Mon, Feb 8, 2027 | Wed, Feb 17 to Mon, Feb 22, 2027 |
| Fully custom polos | About 45 days | Fri, Jan 15, 2027 | About Mon, Mar 1, 2027 |
Tournament polos built from the fabric up, in custom colors or an all over pattern, run on a different clock. Fully custom apparel takes about 45 days, so sign off around Friday, January 15, 2027. This is the same count back we use for a sales kickoff: start at the event date and work backward to the approval.
Rush is available upon approval, and the timing depends on the order.
Prizes and client gifts
Give winners and clients something they will wear after the tournament: an embroidered cap or a polo with a small chest logo. Pick the piece someone reaches for on a Saturday morning, not one that ends up on a desk.
Keep the logo modest and let the garment carry it. If you are outfitting women players or guests, start with our PILLAR women's polos for fit and fabric.
Corporate pickleball tournament shirt questions
Q1What shirt should we order for a corporate pickleball tournament?
A light colored performance polyester tee or polo for players. Players move and sweat, and cotton gets heavy fast. Cotton tees are fine for spectators and volunteers.
Q2How early should we order tournament shirts?
Decorated orders take 7 to 10 business days from proof approval, so approve the proof about three weeks before the tournament. Fully custom shirts built from the fabric up take about 45 days.
Q3Can each team get a different shirt color?
Yes. Keep the front design the same and change the shirt color per team. Give staff and volunteers a color no team is wearing.
Q4Can sponsor logos go on the back of the shirt?
Yes. A sponsor block on the back is the standard layout. Collect vector files from every sponsor early and size the block so each logo still reads.
Q5Should players wear a polo or a tee?
A performance tee for most company tournaments and leagues. A performance polo when the event includes clients or a reception afterward.
Q6Is there a minimum order?
No. There are no minimums, so a four person league team and a full tournament field can both order.
Q7Do you ship tournament shirts outside Arizona?
Yes. PILLAR Prints & Embroidery ships nationwide.
